BIOGRAPHY

At the age of five I became a visual artist. It happened during the fascination with my mothers sketchbooks, of which contained drawings of cartoon characters and intimate profiles of my dad. They were quite handy for me to thumb through, and I seemed to get so excited looking at the images. By the time I was done, there would be mysterious scribbles left on every other page. My mothers name is Joan. She continues to inspire me today, creating beautiful little figurines.

Growing up in a military family, moving broght different environments and climates. Four years of my childhood were spent living on the small Island of Okinawa, somewhere off the coast of Japan. Naturally, I am in love with the Japanese culture. I am drawn to the simplicity and devine beauty of their contemporary art. Note all of the delicate Kitikata and Kochi paper that I love to incorporate into my work. Japan is simply an inspiration. When I think painting, I visualize purity with lots of movement and random shapes of color.

Many moonbeams have passed. I acheived a BFA in Painitng and Printmaking. Indianapolis is the place I live. I create through my passions and desires. I make little, big, sexy, silly, and sometimes gross art.
